Two Calculation Modes
UnTort offers two calculation modes based on Portuguese labor law:
Mode A: Monthly Overtime
- Calculates overtime based on total monthly hours
- If you work more than the standard capacity (e.g., 174 hours), the excess is overtime
- Simpler calculation, focuses on monthly totals
Mode B: Daily Overtime
- Calculates overtime on a daily basis
- Any work beyond 8 hours/day is overtime
- Special multipliers for rest days
- More accurate for variable schedules
Salary Components

| Night Premium | +25% for hours between 21:00-06:00 |
| Overtime | Extra hours beyond standard |
| Carryover | Previous month bonuses paid this month |
Overtime Rates

| Day Overtime | 1.5× hourly rate |
| Night Overtime | 1.75× hourly rate |
| Holiday Work | 1.0× bonus |
| Rest Day Work | 2.0× daily rate |
Tax Deductions

| IRS (Income Tax) | ~15% (configurable) |
| SS (Social Security) | 11% |
| Overtime IRS | IRS ÷ 2 |
Carryover System
Bonuses earned in Month X are paid in Month X+1:
- Standard Carryover: Night hours + Holiday bonuses
- Extra Carryover: Overtime bonuses
Reading the Results
The calculation panel shows:
- Hours Summary - Total, night, overtime hours
- Gross Salary - Before taxes
- Deductions - IRS + SS breakdown
- Net Salary - Your take-home pay
